Getting Viki AKA Cedie ^^

Hello! :)

It's been a while since I last blogged. Mommy was busy grinding us all.

We are now a level 17 family, with 10 characters in 2 barracks.

So who are we now and what level are we? :)

Raven (me) the fighter - Vet 28.xxxx%
Matthieu the Musketeer - Vet 17.xxxx%
Christianne the Scout - Vet 00.xxxx%
Catherine the Summoner - Vet 30.xxxx%
Irawan - 100
Seanne the Elementalist - 95
Christine the Wizard - 86
Viki - 88
Emilia Guilano - 40
Grace Bernelli - 40

Hahha. So there. But I won't be ranting and raving about my other brothers and sisters - instead, I'd be blogging about the baby in our family: VIKI! :)

Remember that cute little boy I was telling you about? That is him. :)

So cute! With his big brother Matthieu right there, Viki now serves as the youngest one in the Futel Family. Spoiled by their Mommy, seems like it ^^

He is now a part of our family: we lovingly call him Cedie behind his back, because he looks like that cartoon which Mommy used to see when she was a kid.

Anyways.

Getting Viki made my head (and Mom's, too) hurt so bad. Why? Because it was long and tiring and really can get your head heat up. But in the end, it is definitely worth it.

Seems like Grandfather Ulrik cannot let Viki go just that easily. A test of the pioneers, as we see it. Have to prove that we can take good care of Viki hehe.

So what do you have to do in order to get Viki?

A lot of people already forget how to get this cute little boy who lives in the Strange Hut in El Tejado Verde (our former colony, sigh). But I'm here to freshen up your memory. Weehee :)

Who is Viki?
V
iki is the grandson of Ulrik, the most powerful summoner of the Royal Vespanolan something. Or so they say. He is friends with Dr. Torsche (that guy with the weird hairdo who lives in a mansion full of robots - yes, the father of Catherine).

What can Viki do? What's so special about him?
W
ell, Viki can use both the Fortitudo & First Aid Stance, so he's like a scout. However, with the use of caliburns, he can summon gigantic things who will help you fight till they crumble to the ground! How does a Treasure Golem fighting for you sound? Or maybe that cute St. Bernard pet of Viki - Tary! :) Oh they're absolutely adorable ^^

Is the uber-long quest of Viki worth it?
BUT OF COURSE!
Do you still have to ask that? Zzz. He's a cross between Catherine (with the exception of 10 puppets) and a Scout, who can resuscitate you or Intensify your attack. Cool huh? :) Definitely worht it!! :)

OK, stop the yadda-yadda. How do I get Viki's Character Card?
THE QUEST CAN ONLY BE ACTIVATED ON WEDNESDAYS.
And
only if you are level 72 and above.
Why? Because Torsche goes to their house for a Picnic on Wednesdays. Yep, Visiting grandpa Ulrik and baby Viki and little doggie Tary. So come only on Wednesdays. You can finish the quest whatever day, though.

Viki's house is the strange hut in El Tejado Verde. Be sure that you are level 72 and above when you get the quest, and that it is a Wednesday. Talk to Dr. Torsche, then to Viki. After which he'd be asking you the latest trends in the city. Now go to the city (we went to Cite de Reboldeux for ours) and then go talk to a boy and a girl. They'd tell you about a certain robot and a certain chocolate.

Now talk to Diego about the robot. He'd ask you to hunt 20 Wildboar's Molars from the Wildboars in the Cathari Falls, 20 Laminated Jezebelnium from the Crate Octopus in Jezebel Glen and 5 Roboten Jewels from the Phobitan Warriors in the Tetra Ruins. (All Quest items)

Then head over to Diego, give the materials and voila! A robot to give Viki.

Now the chocolate..

Who else to go to? Lisa Lynway! Talk to her and she'd tell you to hunt 300 pieces of Cabosse from the Phobitans in the Tetra Hills. This is a MISC item, so you can buy it off the Market Manager if you want to. After which, bring it to the Cabosse Lady, head back to Lisa and you have your chocolate :)

T
hen bring the Robot and Chocolates to Viki! Weehee! :)

Then an event will happen - defeat the spiders, Cherlyn & the Treasure Golem!

Go speak to Ararat, Viki then Ulrik.

Ulrik will then ask you to gather materials to Fix Up Ararat! Yes, this is the start of a very long journey to get Viki >.< Go to the Reboldeux Stone Pit to hunt Hornets for 100 Transnyx Jewels, then to the Ferrucio Junction to hunt Larval Dragonwasps for 100 Koenig Jewels and finally go to the Cathari Falls to hunt for Little Comodo for 100 Sterten Chrome

These are all quest items.

(At this point, my family stopped the quest and resumed it after 1 or 2 weeks. Sigh. It's really painful in the head, I tell you.)

Anyways, resuming the quest, we finally bugged Christine the Wizard to finish hunting in the Stone Pit, Junction & Cathari Falls. After which, she returned to the barracks with the items and Matthieu, Catherine & I resumed the quest. We talked to Ulrik and well, grandpa doesn't seem to stop giving us things to do T.T

We went to El Tejado Verde to hunt Lightning Gavin di Gavi for 100 Molythea Block, Tetra Hills to look for those Rouge thingies for 100 Fire Cube and finally El Lago de Tres Hermanas to hunt those Slash thingy men for 100 of Block (something), all of which are quest items.

(So sorry, forgot the exact names ^^)

Then we went back to Ulrik! And now here comes the HARDEST part of them all.

We have to get an Enhanced Heart (or something) for Ararat and the Mamund so Ararat can be totally fixed. WTH. Now our head was spinning.

To get the heart, we talked to Dr. Torsche in his lab. Yup, the Mansion's Grand Library. And then we were asked to hunt regular items, 100 Otite Pieces (common drop in the mansion), 20 Strange Cogwheels, 20 Strange Springs, 20 Strange Clocks, 20 Strange Tubes and 20 Strange Hinges. These are all REGULAR ITEMS - you can all get them by destroying robots in the mansion but they are quite rare drops. If you have a have a hard time getting some, do what we did: buy in the market manager ^^ sure, we had some clocks and other stranges but we lacked around 5 of each or so.. so BUY if you want.

Go back to Dr. Torsche and you will receive the heart.

Now here's another part which made our head spin.

Travel to Pradera de Ceniza to hunt for the VIOLENT GEHCOS. It's a miniboss in the map - but if you're doing the quest at a high level, you'd have no problems at all. It usually spawns near the entrance to Thuerenginwald or the upper part of the map, entrance to I-forgot-the-name-of-the-place. WTH. Anyways, the MAMUND is a RARE DROP. We had to kill the Big Dog (as we sarcastically call it) four times before the Mamund dropped.

The Gehcos respawns every 15 minutes. Mom's friend told her that the Mamund will have a higher chance of dropping if you let the Violent Gehcos attack you first. So use Provoke, then use Skills to kill the big dog. Hopefully you will get the Mamund after that.

Go back to Ulrik and then an event will happen: just go there and attack Cherlyn and the Hill Giant. After which, Talk to Ulrik, and then Grandpa & Viki will be talking and Viki will be placed safely in your family's hands :)

Whew. Wasn't so bad after all. ^^

OK, I've used VIKI. But where is his other stance, the Castis?
Y
ou need to do another series of quests for this one. Though it is shorter than the first one (if you have Vis.) It could get irritatingly LONG or irritatingly EXPENSIVE. Your choice.

Go to El Canon de Diabolica. Talk to the Stonepit Worker (right side of the map) using Viki as your leader. Choose the second option.
You'll then be teleported to an event in which you need to kill Cherlyn once more and the Treasure Golem. Whitwew. Seems like the red-headed sorceress wouldn't give up that easily. Pft. After killing the Treasure Golem, click on the light. You'll receive a piece of the Treasure Golem. (or was it Takion's? Damn I cannot remember >.<)

Go to El Ruina Memoria (referred to as the splitted land) then go to the left side of the map. See where we were here in this picture. Just run around till a quest triggers, then choose the option to start the mission.

After which you would be fighting with Cherlyn, the Treasure Golem and Takion. You can choose to kill Cherlyn outrightly or fight with the two summons. It's fun fighting them though - like what Matthieu, Viki & I did. ^^

Anyways, after the battle, talk to Grandpa Ulrik in El Tejado Verde. He will then ask you to gather materials so Viki can summon the Treasure Golem and Takion.

You will need 200 Bulks of Gold, 200 Copper Pieces, 100 Golden Fruits, and 100 Mega Aidaniums. Golden fruits can be harvested in Ustiur Zona Tres, Copper Pieces in the Stonepit. These are all REGULAR items so you can buy it off the Market Manager, if you want. Mega Aidaniums are kinda hard to farm, and it's kinda expensive if you need 200 pieces of it >.<

Go back again to Ulrik. He will ask you again to gather some more materials.

200 Bulk Coals, 200 Bulks of Silver, 60 Mega Aidaniums and 50 Philosopher's Stones, all regular items under the MISC tab.

WHAT? 60 MORE MEGA AIDANIUMS??!!

OK SO THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE QUEST HERE.

You
see,
when we brought him Mega Aidaniums, he didn't accept it and kept on asking us for more materials. Seems like he needed MEGA ETRETANIUMS instead of Aidaniums this time. I guess Ulrik was being forgetful already, ^^. Anyways, bring him MEGA ETRETANIUMS instead of Mega Aidaniums and that should do the trick.

Thanks to Vergonze for helping us with the Etretaniums and oread for the Philosopher's Stones.

REMEMBER: Always talk to Grandpa Ulrik using Viki as your leader!!

You'll receive the Castis Stance Book after this quest.

Now double click on it using Viki as your leader, provided that he mastered Amicus & is above level 16 and he will learn to summon the Treasure Golem, Takion & Steel Ararat!

HOW COOL IS THAT?! ^^

Anyways, we hope that this mini-guide had served its purpose. Though it has been written again and again, it's a nice way to refresh it so that new players getting Viki would be guided :)

Take note of the last one for the Castis! ETRETANIUMS! :)

So there you go. Hehe.

I guess I must be off to grind again and again and to take care of my youngest brother Viki :)

Yes, Viki, you look as cute as Daddy who is currently having problems with the NTLDR in his computer. Sigh Dad, just have it reformatted already.

LOL.

Bye guys!

Love, Raven
